Secondary Memory -

 This type’s memory is also known as secondary or permanent memory or auxiliary storage. It is used to store the different programs and the data or information permanently the data even when the computer is turned off or until this data is overwritten or deleted. The CPU can't directly access the secondary memory. First, the secondary memory data is transferred to primary memory then the CPU can access it.

Different types of secondary storage device are….

·         Hard Disk

·         CD

·         DVD

·         SSD Card

·         SD card

·         Pen Drive, etc.

 

इस प्रकार की मेमोरी को सेकेंडरी या परमानेंट मेमोरी या सहायक स्टोरेज के रूप में भी जाना जाता है। इसका उपयोग विभिन्न प्रोग्रामों और डेटा या सूचना को स्थायी रूप से डेटा संग्रहीत करने के लिए किया जाता है, डेटा तब भी रहता है जब कंप्यूटर बंद हो या जब तक यह डेटा ओवरराइट या डिलीट न हो जाए। सीपीयू सीधे सेकेंडरी मेमोरी तक नहीं पहुंच सकता है। सबसे पहले, सेकेंडरी मेमोरी द्वारा डेटा को प्राइमरी मेमोरी में ट्रांसफर किया जाता है फिर सीपीयू इसे एक्सेस कर पाता है।

HARD DISK -

A hard disk is a magnetic disk made of mental and covered with a magnetic recording surface. It is Secondary Storage Device. It is Stored data permanently. Hard disk is commonly known as hard disk drive. Now a day there is huge capacitive Hard Disk available in the market to stores the data like 500GB, 1 TB etc.

The Hard Disk Drive has following components…

·       Plotter

·         Heads

·         Tracks

·         Sector, etc.

एक हार्ड डिस्क एक चुंबकीय डिस्क है जो कि Mental से बनी होती है और एक चुंबकीय रिकॉर्डिंग सतह से ढकी होती है। यह एक प्रकार का सेकेंडरी स्टोरेज डिवाइस है l यह डाटा को अस्थाई रूप से स्टोर करता है l हार्ड डिस्क को आमतौर पर हार्ड डिस्क ड्राइव के रूप में जाना जाता है। आजकल बाजार में 500GB, 1 TB आदि जैसे डेटा को स्टोर करने के लिए बड़ी कैपेसिटिव में हार्ड डिस्क उपलब्ध है।

Solid-state Drive -

It is a Secondary storage device. SSD (Solid State Drive) is also a non-volatile storage device that is used to hold and access data. Unlike a hard drive, it does not have moving components, so it offers many advantages over SSD, such as faster access time, noiseless operation, less power consumption, and more.

यह सेकेंडरी स्टोरेज डिवाइस है। SSD (सॉलिड स्टेट ड्राइव) भी एक नॉन-वोलेटाइल स्टोरेज डिवाइस है जिसका इस्तेमाल डेटा को होल्ड और एक्सेस करने के लिए किया जाता है। हार्ड ड्राइव के तुलना में, इसमें मूविंग कंपोनेंट्स नहीं होते हैं, इसलिए यह SSD पर कई फायदे प्रदान करता है, जैसे कि तेज एक्सेस टाइम, noiseless ऑपरेशन, कम बिजली की खपत, और भी बहुत कुछ।

 

PEN DRIVE -

Pen drive is a secondary memory which is also called USB drive. Pen drive is a portable memory device that uses solid state memory rather than magnetic fields or lasers to record data. Currently available pen drives with storage capacities ranging from 8GB and 32GB can be used to store graphics-heavy documents, photos, music files and video clips.

पेन ड्राइव एक सेकेंडरी मेमोरी है जिसे यूएसबी ड्राइव भी कहा जाता है। पेन ड्राइव एक पोर्टेबल मेमोरी डिवाइस है जो डेटा रिकॉर्ड करने के लिए मैग्नेटिक फील्ड या लेजर के बजाय सॉलिड स्टेट मेमोरी (SSD) का उपयोग करता है। 8GB और 32GB तक की स्टोरेज क्षमता वाले वर्तमान में उपलब्ध पेन ड्राइव का उपयोग ग्राफिक्स- भारी दस्तावेज़ों, फ़ोटो, संगीत फ़ाइलों और वीडियो क्लिप को संग्रहीत करने के लिए किया जा सकता है।

 

SD Card -

It is secondary storage device. SD card stands for Secure Digital card. It is used store data for mobile device such as camera and smart phones. These are different type’s storage capacity available in the market as like 4 GB, 8 GB, 16 GB and up to more.

यह सेकेंडरी स्टोरेज डिवाइस है। एसडी कार्ड का मतलब सिक्योर डिजिटल कार्ड है। इसका उपयोग मोबाइल डिवाइस जैसे कैमरा और स्मार्ट फोन के लिए डेटा स्टोर करने के लिए किया जाता है। बाजार में विभिन्न प्रकार की स्टोरेज क्षमता वाले SD Card उपलब्ध हैं जैसे 4 जीबी, 8 जीबी, 16 जीबी और अधिक।

 

CD (compact Disk) -

CD stands for compact disc. It is an optical disk used to store digital data. It is easily developed for Backup storage. In compact disc laser beam technology is used for storing data. This is stores data up to 700 MB. The first CD was created on 17 August 1982 at the workshop of Philips in Germany.

These are two types of CD…

·         CD-R (recordable)

·         CD-R/W (rewritable)

 

सीडी का मतलब कॉम्पैक्ट डिस्क होता है। यह एक ऑप्टिकल डिस्क है जिसका उपयोग डिजिटल डेटा को स्टोर करने के लिए किया जाता है। इसे बैकअप स्टोरेज के लिए आसानी से विकसित किया गया है। कॉम्पैक्ट डिस्क में डेटा स्टोर करने के लिए लेजर बीम तकनीक का उपयोग किया जाता है। यह 700 एमबी तक डेटा स्टोर करता है। पहली सीडी 17 अगस्त 1982 को जर्मनी में फिलिप्स की कार्यशाला में बनाई गई थी।

ये दो तरह की सीडी हैं...

·         CD-R/W (rewritable)

 

DVD (Digital Video Disk) -

It is secondary storage device. It is known as Digital Versatile Disc or Digital Video Disk. The storage capacity of DVD is up to 4.7 GB and in special case it comes even up to 45 to 50 GB nearly.

These are three types of memory…

·         DVD-R (recordable)

·         DVD-R/W (rewritable)

·         DVD-ROM (Read-Only)

 

यह एक प्रकार कि सेकेंडरी स्टोरेज डिवाइस है l इसे डिजिटल वर्सेटाइल डिस्क या डिजिटल वीडियो डिस्क के रूप में जाना जाता है। डीवीडी की स्टोरेज क्षमता 4.7 जीबी तक है और विशेष स्थिति में यह लगभग 45 से 50 जीबी तक भी आती है।

ये तीन तरह की मेमोरी होती हैं.
