Application Software -

Application software is a set of programs designed to perform a specific task. It does not control the working of a computer as it is designed for end-users. A computer can run without application software. Application software can be easily installed or uninstalled as required. It can be a single program or a collection of small programs.  Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Photoshop, and any other software like payroll software or income tax software are application software. As we know, they are designed to perform specific tasks.

They can be of different types such as:

Word Processing Software-

This software allows users to create, edit, format, and manipulate the text and more. It offers lots of options for writing documents, creating images, and more.

For Example, MS Word, WordPad, Notepad, etc.

Spreadsheet Software:-

It is designed to perform calculations, store data, create charts, etc. It has rows and columns, and the data is entered in the cell, which is an intersection of a row and column, e.g., Microsoft Excel.

Multimedia Software -

 This software is developed to perform editing of video, audio, and text. It allows you to combine texts, videos, audio, and images. Thus, you can improve a text document by adding photos, animations, graphics, and charts through multimedia software.

For Example, VLC player, Window Media Player, etc.

Enterprise Software -

This software is developed for business operational functions. It is used in large organizations where the quantum of business is too large. It can be used for accounting, billing, order processing and more. For example, CRM (Customer Relationship Management), BI (Business Intelligence), ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), SCM (Supply Chain Management), customer support system, and more.

 

एप्लीकेशन सॉफ्टवेयर प्रोग्रामों का एक समूह होता है जिसे किसी विशिष्ट कार्य को करने के लिए डिज़ाइन किया जाता है। यह कंप्यूटर को नियंत्रित नहीं करता है क्योंकि इसे End-User के लिए डिज़ाइन किया गया है। कंप्यूटर बिना एप्लीकेशन सॉफ्टवेयर के चल सकता है। एप्लिकेशन सॉफ़्टवेयर को आवश्यकतानुसार आसानी से इंस्टॉल या अनइंस्टॉल किया जा सकता है। यह एक Single Program या छोटे Programs का संग्रह हो सकता है। माइक्रोसॉफ्ट ऑफिस सूट, एडोब फोटोशॉप, और पेरोल सॉफ्टवेयर या आयकर सॉफ्टवेयर जैसे कोई अन्य सॉफ्टवेयर एप्लीकेशन सॉफ्टवेयर हैं। जैसा कि हम जानते हैं, वे विशिष्ट कार्यों को करने के लिए डिज़ाइन किए गए हैं।

ये विभिन्न प्रकार के हो सकते हैं जैसे:

 

वर्ड प्रोसेसिंग सॉफ़्टवेयर-

यह सॉफ़्टवेयर उपयोगकर्ताओं को create, edit, format, और text को manipulate करने आदि की अनुमति देता है। यह दस्तावेज़ लिखने, चित्र बनाने आदि के लिए बहुत सारे विकल्प प्रदान करता है।

उदाहरण के लिए, एमएस वर्ड, वर्डपैड, नोटपैड, आदि।

 

स्प्रैडशीट सॉफ़्टवेयर -

इसे गणना करने, डेटा स्टोर करने, चार्ट बनाने आदि के लिए डिज़ाइन किया गया है। इसमें पंक्तियां और कॉलम होते हैं, और डेटा सेल में दर्ज किया जाता है, जो एक पंक्ति और कॉलम का समूह होता है, उदाहरण के लिए, माइक्रोसॉफ्ट एक्सेल।

 

मल्टीमीडिया सॉफ्टवेयर -

 यह सॉफ्टवेयर वीडियो, ऑडियो और टेक्स्ट को Edit करने के लिए विकसित किया गया है। यह आपको टेक्स्ट, वीडियो, ऑडियो और इमेज को संयोजित करने की अनुमति देता है। इस प्रकार, आप मल्टीमीडिया सॉफ़्टवेयर के माध्यम से फ़ोटो, एनिमेशन, ग्राफिक्स और चार्ट जोड़कर टेक्स्ट दस्तावेज़ में सुधार कर सकते हैं।

एंटरप्राइज सॉफ्टवेयर -

यह सॉफ्टवेयर व्यावसायिक परिचालन कार्यों के लिए विकसित किया गया है। इसका उपयोग बड़े संगठनों में किया जाता है जहां व्यवसाय की मात्रा बहुत अधिक होती है। इसका उपयोग अकाउंटिंग, बिलिंग, ऑर्डर प्रोसेसिंग और बहुत से कार्यो के लिए किया जा सकता है।

उदाहरण के लिए, सीआरएम (ग्राहक संबंध प्रबंधन), बीआई (बिजनेस इंटेलिजेंस), ईआरपी (एंटरप्राइज रिसोर्स प्लानिंग), एससीएम (आपूर्ति श्रृंखला प्रबंधन), ग्राहक सहायता प्रणाली, आदि।
