 GUI Based Operating System

GUI is abbreviation of graphical user interface. It is interface between user and machine through mouse and keyboard for communication. The actions in a GUI are usually performed through graphical elements like icons.

Example – MS Windows, Linux, Android, iOS, ChromeOS etc.

जीयूआई ग्राफिकल यूजर इंटरफेस का संक्षिप्त रूप है। यह किसी भी User और Machine के बीच बातचीत करने के लिए माउस और कीबोर्ड द्वारा इंटरफ़ेस प्रदान करता है । GUI पर आधारित ऑपरेटिंग सिस्टम पर ग्राफिकल एलिमेंट जैसे icons के रूप में कार्य होता है l

उदाहरण - एमएस विंडोज, लिनक्स, एंड्रॉइड, आईओएस, क्रोमओएस आदि।

There are different elements that the users use to interact with the software to make a user friendly.

यूजर फ्रेंडली बनाने के लिए उपयोगकर्ता सॉफ़्टवेयर के साथ सहभागिता करने के लिए विभिन्न एलेमेन्ट का उपयोग करते हैं।

Start Button

Windows Start Button is at the bottom left part of the desktop screen. Clicking Start opens the Start menu that gives you access to all the installed programs, and other Windows features.

विंडोज स्टार्ट बटन डेस्कटॉप स्क्रीन के निचले बाएं हिस्से में होता है। स्टार्ट पर क्लिक करने से स्टार्ट मेन्यू खुल जाता है जो आपको सभी इंस्टॉल किए गए प्रोग्राम्स और अन्य विंडोज फीचर्स तक पहुंच प्रदान करता है।

Taskbar

The taskbar is an element of an operating system located at the bottom of the screen. It allows you to locate and launch programs through Start and the Start menu, or view any program that's currently open. On the right side of the taskbar is the Notification Area that allows you to check the date and time, items running in the background. 

टास्कबार स्क्रीन के नीचे स्थित ऑपरेटिंग सिस्टम का एक एलिमेंट होता है। यह आपको स्टार्ट और स्टार्ट मेनू के माध्यम से प्रोग्रामों को ढूंढने और लॉन्च करने की अनुमति देता है, या वर्तमान में खुला कोई भी प्रोग्राम देखने की अनुमति देता है। टास्कबार के दाईं ओर Notification Area होता है जो आपको दिनांक और समय, Background में चल रहे item की जांच करने की अनुमति देता है।

Quick Launch Toolbar

The Quick Launch toolbar provides an area for PC users to place shortcuts to their most frequently used programs. 

Quick Launch Toolbar पीसी उपयोगकर्ताओं को उनके सबसे अधिक उपयोग किए जाने वाले प्रोग्राम्स में शॉर्टकट रखने के लिए एक एरिया प्रदान करता है।

Notification Area

The notification area displays the programs running in the background and information such as the time and date, notifications, Internet connection status, and the current volume level.

Notification area  बैकग्राउंड में चल रहे प्रोग्राम्स, समय और तारीख, सूचनाएं, इंटरनेट कनेक्शन की स्थिति और वर्तमान वॉल्यूम स्तर जैसी जानकारी प्रदर्शित करता है।

Icons

An icon is a small graphical representation of a program, feature, or file.

एक आइकन एक प्रोग्राम, फीचर या फ़ाइल का एक छोटा ग्राफिकल representation  होता है।
