Internet Etiquette Also known as netiquette, netiquette represents the importance of proper etiquette and behavior online. Just as etiquette is a code of polite behavior in society, netiquette is a code of good behavior on the Internet. It includes many aspects of the Internet, such as email, social media, online chat, web forums, website comments, multiplayer gaming and other forms of online communication.

Netiquette also stipulates that users must comply with copyright laws.

An important part of Netiquette concerns your online security. By following these basic rules and tips, you can avoid online threats like phishing, attempts, malware infection etc.

Internet Etiquette इसे नेटिकेट (netiquette) के नाम से भी जाना जाता हैं नेटिकेट ऑनलाइन उचित शिष्टाचार और व्यवहार के महत्व का प्रतिनिधित्व करता है। जैसे शिष्टाचार समाज में विनम्र व्यवहार का एक कोड है, वैसे ही नेटिकेट इंटरनेट पर अच्छे व्यवहार का एक कोड है। इसमें इंटरनेट के कई पहलू शामिल हैं, जैसे ईमेल, सोशल मीडिया, ऑनलाइन चैट, वेब फोरम, वेबसाइट कमेंट, मल्टीप्लेयर गेमिंग और अन्य प्रकार के ऑनलाइन संचार। नेटिकेट यह भी तय करता है कि उपयोगकर्ताओं को कॉपीराइट कानूनों का पालन करना चाहिए l

Netiquette का एक महत्वपूर्ण हिस्सा आपकी ऑनलाइन सुरक्षा की चिंता करता है। इन बुनियादी नियमों और सुझावों का पालन करके आप Phishing, attempts, Malware infection आदि ऑनलाइन खतरों से बच सकते हैं l

 

Some rules for good netiquette are given below- अच्छे नेटिकेट के लिए कुछ नियम नीचे दिए गए-

1.       Avoid posting inflammatory or offensive comments online.

2.       Respect the privacy of others by not sharing any person's personal information, photos or videos.

3.       Never spam others by sending large amounts of unsolicited emails.

4.       Show good sportsmanship when playing online games, whether you win or lose.

5.       Do not troll by repeatedly harassing or harassing people in web forums or website comments.

6.       Avoid using capital letters in any email or post. Some people think that holding the Caps Lock button for the entire message will make it easier to read, when it's actually the opposite. It's not only hard to read, it comes across as shouting, which is harsh.

7.       Stick to topic when posting in online forums or commenting on photos or videos, such as YouTube or Facebook comments.

8.       Do not use rude language on the Internet.

9.       Avoid giving negative answers with overly negative comments. Instead, break the cycle with a positive post.

10.   If someone asks a question and you know the answer, offer to help.

11.   When sending an email, use the subject area, as it helps the recipient to quickly identify the email.

12.   Thank the people who help you online.
