What is Passport?

Passport is a legal document; it is used to travel abroad. Passport is made by the country in which the person resides. This passport tells the identity of the person and his citizenship at the time of travel abroad. A passport it contains the person's name, place, date of birth, the person's photo and his/her signature. Apart from all this, the passport contains more information for the identity of the person. Passport tells the citizenship of the person.

पासपोर्ट एक कानूनी दस्तावेज है, इसका उपयोग विदेश मे यात्रा करने के लिए किया जाता है l पासपोर्ट को जिस देश मे व्यक्ति रहता है उसके द्वारा बनाया जाता है l यह पासपोर्ट विदेश यात्रा के वक़्त व्यक्ति की पहचान तथा उसकी नागरिकता को बताता है l एक पासपोर्ट मे व्यक्ति का नाम, स्थान, जन्म तारीख, व्यक्ति की फोटो तथा उसके हस्ताक्षर होते है l इन सब के अलावा पासपोर्ट मे व्यक्ति की पहचान के लिए और भी जानकारी होती हैl पासपोर्ट व्यक्ति की नागरिकता बताता है l

Types of Passports in India: भारत में पासपोर्ट के प्रकार

There are mainly three types of passports are issued by the Government of India under the Passport Act, 1967.

Passport Act, 1967 के तहत भारत सरकार द्वारा Passports मुख्य रूप से तीन प्रकार के issue किये जाते हैं l

1. Type P (Personal) / Ordinary passport–

These are Ordinary passports that are issued to the common people. These are mainly used for general work such as traveling on holiday or for business.

ये Ordinary passports होते हैं जिन्हें की आम लोगों को issue किया जाता है l ये मुख्यतः general कार्य जैसे की travelling करना अपने holiday में या फिर business के लिए में इस्तमाल किया जाता है l

2. Type S (Service) / Official passport–

These are official passports and are issued for those people who travel abroad for any official government/state work.

ये Official passports होते हैं और जिन्हें issue किया जाता है उन लोगों के लिए जो की किसी official government/state काम के लिए abroad (विदेश) travel करते हैं l

3. Type D (Diplomat)/ Diplomatic passport –

These are Diplomatic passports which are issued to such people who are always traveling abroad in official government work.

ये Diplomatic passports होते हैं जिन्हें की ऐसे लोगों को issue किया जाता है जो की हमेशा official government work में विदेश की यात्रा करते रहते हैं l

 

How to apply Passport?

1. First of all you have to visit Passport Seva Portal http://passportindia.gov.in.

2. If you are a new user then you have to register and if not then you can login to your account.

3. Here you have to click on the category where it is written “Apply for Fresh Passport/Reissue of Passport”. There you have to click on the highlighted link and fill that application form online.

4. Then you have to fill Passport type information.

5. After this you will have to fill the applicant details and click on “Save My Details” so that you do not lose the filled data. After this you have to click on “Next” to proceed.

6. Now family details have to be filled.

7. Then present address details.

8. After that the emergency contact details.

9. after that references information.

10. If you already have the details of the previous passport, then you can fill it too.

11. Seeing other details like this will also have to be filled.

12. Then you have to verify all your details carefully.

13. After that the checkbox of 'I Agree' has to be selected and then submit the form by clicking on 'Submit Form' button.

14. After this you have to fill your Payment Online / Offline. You will have to fill through Credit / Debit Card, Internet Banking, or SBI Bank Challan.

15. Then to visit the PSK near you will have to schedule an appointment.

1.  सबसे पहले आपको Passport सेवा Portal http://passportindia.gov.in को visit करना होगा l

2.  यदि आप new user हैं तब आपको Register करना होगा और यदि नहीं तब आप अपने account में login कर सकते हैं l

3.  यहाँ आपको उस category पर click करना होगा जहाँ पर लिखा है “Apply for Fresh Passport/Reissue of Passport”. वहां पर highlighted link पर click करना होगा और उस application form को online भरना होगा l

4.  फिर आपको Passport type information भरना होगा l

5.  इसके बाद आपको applicant details भरना होगा और “Save My Details” पर click करना होगा ताकि आप भरे गए data को loose न करें l इसके पश्चात आगे बढ़ने के लिए “Next” पर click करना होगा l

6.  यहाँ पर family details भरना होगा l

7.  फिर present addresses details l

8.  इसके बाद emergency contact details l

9.  उसके बाद references information l

10.  अगर आपके पास पहले से ही पूर्व Passport की details मेह्जुद होगी तब आप उसे भी भर सकते हैं l

11.  ऐसे ही दुसरे details को भी देखकर भरना होगा l

12.  फिर बड़े ध्यान से अपने सारे details को carefully verify करना होगा l

13.  उसके बाद ‘I Agree’ का checkbox select करना होगा और फिर ‘Submit Form’ button पर click कर form को submit कर देना होगा l

14.  इसके बाद आपको अपना Payment Online / Offline भरना होगा. जिसे आप Credit/Debit Card के द्वारा, Internet Banking, या SBI Bank Challan के द्वारा भरना होगा l

15.  फिर अपने पास के PSK को visit करना के लिए एक Appointment Schedule करना होगा l
